This all had me believing that this was why someone out there was paying the big bucks to have a witch for hire watching over Raven. I should have known that Lexi had been withholding information from me, only telling me what she thought I needed to know. Once again, I realized that I was foolish for having any trust in that witch, but I kept reminding myself that at the time I truly thought she had Raven’s wellbeing in her best interest. But unfortunately, I am now seeing that Lexi was just following the orders given to her from whomever was paying her. It was clearer than ever now that my brothers and I were just a bump in whatever road this benefactor had been steering Raven on. This whole thing enraged me, and I couldn’t hold back a low growl that rumbled in my chest just thinking
