Raven’s POV
“You’re awake.” Mazie says to me, as I bat my eyes slowly open, bringing my hands to my head because it felt like it was going to explode.
“Why do I feel like I was hit by a freight train?” I ask her while I try to push myself up into a sitting position but find myself extremely weak. It was clear that whatever the hell had taken over me, it had taken a lot of strength out of me.
Noticing my weakness, Mazie moves to help me sit up, while she says to me, “That, my friend, is called your heat. All the she wolves get them once they find their mate, or in your case, mates.”
I stared blankly at Mazie, as I processed what she had just said. Was she really claiming that I had gotten my first werewolf period? I mean that is what a heat is to a canine, right?
