“Whatever you are doing, stop it now!” I said to Lexi through gritted teeth, as I pointed out the front door to absolutely nothing.
Crossing her arms over her chest, as she shakes her head at me, she bluntly tells me, “I’m sorry, but no. Your heat may seem to have subsided, but that is only because you are away from your mates. My elixir will stop working at first sight of them. So, I can’t allow you anywhere near them.”
My eyes narrowed as I glared at her, wondering whose side she was on, because now, by the sounds of it, she didn’t want me to be marked by them. It now truly had me questioning if I could trust her, because just a moment ago she was saying that if I wasn’t marked by all three of them before this super moon, then I better pray that I made it to the next one
