Mazie and I began to fall into what felt like a black hole of complete nothingness. A part of me wanted to scream out, because I felt like we were never going to hit the bottom, but I remained silent, as Mazie’s hand held tightly onto mine, giving me a bit of comfort knowing that she was with me, and I wasn’t alone.
