Cash’s POV
The call went straight to a busy signal, making me hang up and try again, but as I pressed send again, the same damn thing happened. My nerves were now on edge, as I felt like I had just missed my one and only opportunity to get her back.
My gut was telling me if I had just rushed up the stairs just a tab bit quicker, I would be on my way right now to wherever she was, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, because when it came to the two of us, nothing seemed to be easy. It was as if I was up against the world and the Gods were against us, not allowing the fated bond between us to flourish like it naturally should, but I wasn’t going to allow something or someone to stand in my way of what is fated to be mine.
