My hands moved to cover my ears as a menacing laughter followed those words, but unfortunately, it did nothing to muffle it out. Instead, it made the laughter grow even louder in my head, making me leave out a scream of frustration, before I yelled out, “Stop!”
Carl instantly turned to look at me, as his eyes narrowed, obviously confused by my outburst, because, by the looks of things, I was the only one in this cabin that was hearing this damn maniac’s laughter lingering as I processed his words.
