Chapter 61: I can't control you anymore?
(Seraphina's POV)
I waited downstairs for nearly an hour, pacing back and forth in the living room. The plate of peeled shrimp sat on the coffee table, growing cold as minutes ticked by.
Finally, I couldn't stand it anymore. I picked up the plate and made my way upstairs to The Upper Halls of the Blackwood Manor.
Standing outside Talia's Rose-Veiled Bower, I took a deep breath and knocked gently on the door.
"Tali? It's me."
After a moment of silence, I heard shuffling footsteps. The door opened slowly, revealing Talia's face.
My heart clenched immediately. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying, the usual spark in them dimmed.
