I mentioned very superficially that I had met someone who was in a difficult situation (and in a few more words I referred to what was going on with Alexander and the children, disguised as a neighbor who had arrived recently), and Larry saw nothing wrong with me lending them a hand, as I had already suspected. He didn’t even really know where I lived or how impossible it was for me to interact with potential neighbors, and all of that influenced things.
