DECEMBER, 2012 It is likely that I woke up several times, for only a few seconds, over an uncertain number of hours. When I finally came back to myself, everything was different. The place was hot, a very strong smell of antiseptic mixed with a horrible stench burned my nose; and although I could make out a ceiling above me, everything else looked dark. My limbs felt heavy, as if I had rocks tied to my wrists and ankles, and my waist hurt, surely because of the position (I was on my back). It was a usual discomfort, from forcing the lumbar vertebrae and those of the tail to line up in a bad posture for too long.
