Dominic slammed the door shut behind him so violently that the entire room shook as he stalked inside. “Get your slimy hands off her!” he bellowed.
If the ball hadn’t been in a completely separate wing of the house, I would have been nervous that people had heard him. Even still, my heart raged in my chest when Dominic shut the door behind him as if he didn’t want witnesses for whatever he was planning to do to Aaron.
Aaron dropped me to my feet, and I instinctively stepped away as Dominic came charging. He tackled Aaron to the bed, raising his fist to punch him. “Stay away from her!” he yelled.
