We were settled in the sitting room, and I received a text.
'Arrived safely, no danger yet,' it was from Hacker.
"Hacker has arrived back," I called out to the group.
"Good. Hope it's safe," Scrubs said. He had been glancing at his phone all afternoon, waiting to hear from Hacker. It took him four hours to ride home. That was after the short chopper ride; he insisted on riding in, leaving no chance anyone would see him arrive by chopper. That would just put him at higher risk, and Dad had agreed; even if he didn't want to, it was more about what Hacker wanted for peace of mind.
