Gunner gave me some cheek about being with Demetri and said one day I would make him his mother-in-law, and I would one day be a grandmother, me a grandmother. If you had said that a few days ago, I would have replied, "Impossible-I don't have a child." But now a child's dreams are closer to becoming real, and I am still unsure how I feel. So many mixed emotions are flowing through me since meeting Demetri that I can't process them all at once. I hadn't thought that far ahead, and it was too soon to be talking about marriage; we hadn't been together that long.
However, it feels right; Demetri makes me feel like a young girl again, hoping and wishing for all those things I had never managed to have.
