It wasn't so surprising that Cora was not in bed when I woke up- not like the first time or the second. I was getting used to her being gone before me; I must be so relaxed around her that I don't notice her leaving the bed. In the past, I would know the moment someone was in my room trying to enter my bed, but since having Cora in my bed, I hardly notice. That worried me a little at first, but not so much in this room; we are safe here.
In the shower, I thought of the past month or so, all that has happened, and will continue to happen. Even when the threat is gone, we will be in the spotlight because of who Demetri was.
