Ruby came and knew something was wrong, but there was no way I was going to show her the footage. Xavier and I both cried- not big sobs- but our eyes reddened, and the tears didn't flow. He was heartbroken seeing Cora as a young girl being brave, and for me, it was all of it.
Seeing Dianne again, alive and so beautiful, just like I remember her, and her voice- soft, calm and clear- understanding that today she was indeed going to die, and that she had put all she could to keep her girl alive; she would never have known if she was successful or not, but used all her cunning to try and keep her daughter breathing.
