Cora POV
On the third floor, I found Sally-Anne's parents sitting at her side. They looked up when I entered. A half smile brightened her mother's face. I have known these people all my life, and I wondered how much they really knew about my mother, my uncle, and the situation.
Were they supportive of my uncle playing dad? The trust I used to have for them vanished when I caught Sally-Anne in bed with the boys. How much did they know?
"Cora, I didn't know you worked here?" Sally-Anne's father spoke first, while the mother's tears started to flow.
"Yes, they needed an emergency department senior nurse urgently, and I accepted the transfer a couple of months ago."
"That would explain why we hadn't seen you for a while. Are you happy here? What about your boyfriend? Why did you leave?"
