They arrived.
Early.
I nearly peed my pants when one of the brothers picked me up and twirled me around, only for the other brother to do the same, and so did the next one. I was so dizzy, but happy dizzy.
The siblings crowded me, not giving me a chance to meet my dad or stepmother; they were full of questions and stories, as if trying to fill all the years apart in one night. I was overwhelming, exciting, and scary, all rolled into one.
