Cora POV
Sitting waiting for my turn, it felt like it was taking forever. The mayor was talking about what I was going to talk about, and I was trying to quickly think of how to change my talk so it wouldn't duplicate what he was saying, but he covered almost everything, leaving me nothing to discuss. I sat stunned and confused, as to why I was here then, after stressing for so long about being here, and what to present, all for nothing.
The mummers of the other men sitting with me were the same confusion; the mayor was rabbiting on about something he obviously knew nothing about. When he opened the floor for questions, one of the men said in a whisper.
