Ruby (Red) POV
While I baked the cakes, I thought of our morning so far.
We had finally left the safe room and were chatting happily about what we planned to do first now that we were out, as we headed to the lounge room.
It was strange to see no one yet.
We didn't see anyone as we walked; we were used to having someone around, not even a guard standing by.
The place was quiet.
Too quiet, and empty.
But it wasn't empty.
As we entered the lounge, a man came from behind and grabbed me roughly, and I screamed out loud, shocked by the sudden, harsh grab; he was taller than me and strong. The arm had blood on it, causing me to freeze.
Who was this? It wasn't one of our guards.
"Bruce!" Cora called out, staring at the man holding me, answering the question I had in my head.
