Cora left with her laptop to spend the afternoon with Hacker; those two have hit it off well, maybe because Cora understands some of his work and can relate to him. I try not to let the jealousy bug hit me.
They are working, not flirting.
Hacker never had a permanent girl, not in the four years he has been patched.
Mine was not going to be his first.

"That clean up complete?" Oddball's voice pulled me out of my self-pity moment.
"Yes, will check the furnace in about an hour or so, top it back up, but yeah, it's done," I replied, thinking about the furnace, which never goes out, but drops the ash down a chute when it fills to a certain level. It was made by a club member many years ago;
