After the tour, Tanya went home to pack and I did the same. I almost forgot that Levi had moved me into his apartment and when I walked in, I realized just how much he’d done to make this place feel like ours.
I close my eyes. I made a promise to Levi, and I really intended to keep it, but I don’t want him to suffer knowing our child was born deformed. And if our child dies, I don’t know if I can see that kind of pain in Levi’s eyes, knowing that it’s my fault that his pup didn’t survive.
I call my parents, letting them know I’m home and I’m coming for a visit.
“Actually, they’re having Alpha Cayd’s going away party tonight in Shadow Falls Pack. Do you want to meet us there? You’re welcome to come,” Carlos says.
