Angel ‘You’re tired,’ Liam’s voice floats into my mind. ‘Hope was badly injured. I really don’t know how Qadira kept her from shifting back, but she was right not to. It probably would have killed Hope,’ I say. ‘They are quite exceptional,’ he says, wrapping his arms around me and holding me in his warm, comforting embrace. “Is there a place that Levi can take Hope to recover?” Liam asks the group. “Our room is over here,” Tanya says, pointing to the room on her right. I can tell her father doesn’t want Levi in their room, but he’s smart enough to keep him mouth shut. I know Liam feels responsible for what happened to Hope, since he’s the one who assigned her to this job. But I know it’s not his fault. Levi carefully lifts Hope in his arms and begins following Tanya into their room.
