Levi not returning my call hit me hard. I guess I never expected him to give up on me. I think that’s what Lily meant about taking the mate bond for granted. I did and now he's gone.
I broke down and tried Levi’s number again a few days later, only for it to go straight to voicemail.
I didn’t want to make too much of a fuss about it, but I did ask Lily if her parents had seen Levi recently.
