After the incident in Dorian’s study, he grew distant. It had been two days since I made the mistake of offering my blood to him, and I’d spent that time holed up in my room, ensuring to eat all of my scheduled meals in case he decided to return. I never thought I’d miss my master if I were selected as a pet. I didn’t expect to long for his smile again or wish to be wrapped in his arms. The more I thought about it, the more confused I became.
