In the morning, I awoke to a blood-curdling scream. Shooting straight up in bed with a hand placed over my racing heart, I shoved the sheets off and scrambled to my feet. I was still wearing Dorian’s shirt, the oversized fabric hanging nearly to my knees. Another scream echoed into the room, loud and deep, resembling the one person I had grown accustomed to since arriving at this castle. My eyes shot to the bed, where Dorian’s spot lay vacant. Shit.
