The ride back to the palace was agonizing. Ellise stared at me with disgust for the majority of the ride, rubbing her hand along Dorian’s arm in an attempt to stake her claim. It was fruitless when Dorian whispered dirty thoughts into my mind, keeping my rage at bay, but it still bothered me nonetheless. I still had so many questions I wanted to ask, mainly why we suddenly shared this mind link and about the static I had seen flare at my fingertips.
