Nadine's P.O.V.

Today is supposed to be a happy day. It's Deidra and Jinx's baby shower. It's supposed to be nothing but joy. I helped set up and cook. The gift Odie and I picked out online was perfect.
However, it is not starting out great.
This morning, while putting the gift together, Odie asked me if she could come too. I once again told her no. I made up some lame excuse and tried to skate over it like usual. I was expecting another tantrum. I feel like she's been throwing them a lot lately, and I don't blame her. But what I got was more devastating.
Instead of throwing a fit, Odie asked me if she was a bad kid. Then she asked me if I was embarrassed by her. She didn't understand why I had been leaving without her so much lately.
