Fu.ck, I don't have a good feeling about this.
"I don't like how serious you look," I commented.
Kaizen placed his hand on my knee under the table and squeezed. I grabbed his large hand with both of mine. I held tightly, using him as an anchor. Whatever Gio's about to tell me, Kaizen knows about it, and it's something big.
"Should you guys get a private room, Daddy?" Guilia asked. "I can keep War company-"
"He stays," I cut her off. "Call him my emotional support husband."
I could see the smile curve Kaizen's lips from the corner of my eye.
"They're married, Guilia, he stays," Gio said. "Besides, I'd like for you to hear this as well."
