"You seem nervous," Cutter commented from across the table. He didn't even look at me.
"I am," I admitted to my VP.
"About the case?" he asked, looking at me with a raised brow.
"God, don't fu.cking tell me that," Trouble groaned beside me.
"This too much on your work load?" Cutter asked, setting the file he was reading down on the table.
"What? No," I said. "I'm not nervous about the case at all. This is a done deal. We already talked to the judge. We have so much evidence it's sickening. Trust me Trouble, your friend is getting out next month. She'll be on parole for a few months, but with the way they treated her in there, I bet I can get parole down to three months. Ma
