"Do you think Jinx is gonna notice that we stole his truck?" Lux asked as we headed towards the secluded barn that Dad had managed to get me through Uncle Gio.
"No, because Deidra promised to distract him," I replied.
"Dra knows what we're up to now?"
"She knows that we were sneaking out and no one could know about it. She didn't ask why. I think part of her understood," I said. "Plus, it's the middle of the night, everyone's asleep or too wasted to see five feet in front of them."
"And you trust her? I mean, she is sickeningly in love with Jinx."
I snorted at that.
"I trust her," I replied. "It's only for an hour, two at most."
