By the time Cutter stormed into his parents' house, I was feeling like a brand-new person. Lisa had brought me to her home and showed me all of her hair products. Then she explained how she does her nighttime routine and why it's important. She helped me wash my hair, showed me what to use, and then forced me to take extras she had.
I felt strange. Like I was overstepping, but too happy to care. I wasn't sure if it was okay to accept the things Lisa offered me, but... I've never had a mother before and it just... felt nice.
I wonder if most mother's are like Lisa. She's so kind and caring and doting. She's a caregiver. I saw it in all the mom's back home. They all treated me like I was one of their own too, but... I wasn't. And that w
