Sabel's P.O.V.

The little bell above the door to Garden Sip jingled when Kaizen opened it for me. The place was full of customers. No one looked up aside from Deidra and Jinx. They were sitting at a table in the back corner with papers spread in front of them. Waylen was coloring, and little baby Petal was in a car seat on the booth beside Jinx.
The way both their eyes hardened and flickered towards the other side of the place told me that they knew exactly why we were here.
"You told them," I muttered as Kaizen followed me inside.
"Of course I did," he replied. "They're your family and deserved to know."
"What are they even doing here anyway? Petal's like five days old."
"Deidra said she had inventory and payroll to do. She's a workaholic."
