"Damnit," I muttered as I immediately ran after Sabel.
Which is not like me. I don't chase women. Yet, here I am, running down the hall to catch one.
There's no way I'm letting this be a situation like Jinx with Candy. Sabel is not like Deidra. She'll run, she won't stay to find out the truth.
Plus, Sab's not in love with me yet like Deidra was with Jinx.
But it will happen.
One way or another, that girl's going to be mine.
"Sabel, wait!"
She moved faster. It made me chuckle a little. There was no way she'd outrun me with those short legs. She should know by now that I love a good chase. Hell, maybe she wants me to chase her. That thought sent a ridiculous surge of satisfaction through me.
