"Or she thinks that you're totally into me," I said.
"I've told her that I don't like you like that," he replied.
"Was that before or after you offered to marry me and claim my baby as yours so that I wouldn't have to raise her all alone?" I asked. "You do know that you did that in front of them, right?"
River sighed and ran a hand through his messy hair.
"I thought I was doing the right thing," he muttered. "I just wanted to help you Naddy."
"That the reason why you won't tell us what you know about Tyler?" I asked gently. "Because you think it's the right thing?"
"Of course you know about that," he mumbled, shaking his head.
"River, you don't have to carry everything alone, ya know," I told him. "Isn't that what you said to me once upon a time?"
