My eyes stayed glued to Jayde as Savage checked her over. He was kind and professional about the whole thing. He wasn't inappropriate, not that I thought he'd be. He made Jayde feel comfortable enough that her shoulders relaxed.
And I hated every second of it.
I hated it when Savage touched her. I hated it when she smiled at him. I hated how kind he was to her. And I really hated that I cared at all.
Something about this girl makes me want to hide her away in my room and never let anyone see her.
That sounds fu.cking insane. I've never in my life had a thought like that before. Never had this protective streak surge through me before. And all over a girl I met hours ago and had one conversation with.
