I stopped but didn't look at her. "This stays between us, Paxon. I mean it." "Whatever," I grumbled before walking out the door and slamming it shut. That bit.ch kept me too long this morning and I missed the bus. Looks like I'm running to school. I hate running, but if I'm late one more time, the principal will call my mom and Steven will hear about it. With that fear fueling me, I booked it to school. I made it to my seat in my first class two minutes before the bell rang. Of course, it started to rain on my way, so I was soaked. And my shoe finally busted open. f***k, maybe
