"She did all of this?" she asked.
"Not sure," War replied. "She passed out after telling us to find the kids."
"Well, she must have," she said. "And she must have helped them escape too, because they're not here."
"What??" Grinder asked angrily. "The f***k you mean they're not here?"
"Exactly what I said," Sabel replied with an attitude. "Looks like they escaped out of a small window in the basement."
I looked at the girl covered in blood again.
"She probably told them the direction of the main road," Sabel said. "We came from a different way so we wouldn't be seen."
"You guys go find them," War told her. "Grinder, Grim, and Pistol will go with you. We'll handle things here."
"Okay," Sabel said, but hesitated. "If she really did all of this, that makes her a hero."
