"Are we really doing this?" Saylor whispered to me.
We were all in position now, thanks to Sab. She barked out orders like she's done this a million times. I don't think she has, but the fact that she had a plan already says something. Just not sure if that something is scary or comforting. She's seriously bada.ss. Way more than I originally thought.
Sab had Lux hide outside the barn to keep an eye out in case someone else showed up. Like backup for Delight, the club, or worse, the police. Sorsha was inside the barn, waiting in the shadows, ready for anything to go wrong. Sab was inside too, but she was right there on the other side of the doors, waiting to take Delight by surprise. And Saylor and I were standing just outside the barn
