We took our time unpacking. Well, I took my time. I was dragging a.ss on purpose. I just didn't want to face what comes after. But I knew I'd have to.
Besides, it didn't take long to unpack anyway. It's not like I was moving back for good. Still, I tried to stall. I even bathed Odie and got her in her pajamas. Now, she's wide awake due to her late nap and very lively.
Apparently, Odie loved our new house a lot, but the carpet smells funny. So she says. She really loved her dragon bedsheets and knew her Uncle War had got them for her. She ran around, exploring every room. Then she had her face plastered to one of the back windows, staring out into the backyard.
This house is smaller than ours in California, but the yard is bigger. Od
