After breakfast, I went to the barn to organise the workshop. Nolan and Elena had not been inside the farmhouse during Darius and Maya’s argument. They returned shortly before breakfast, but neither volunteered where they had spent the early morning. I did not ask. They were adults, and whatever happened between them was their concern.
