“It has just started,” Kael told the doctor before answering several hurried questions.
He dressed while speaking, nearly putting his shirt on backwards. A knock sounded at the bedroom door.
“Maya and Elena only!” I called because I was still naked.
The two women entered immediately, leaving Darius and Nolan outside. Maya helped me into a loose kaftan while Elena gathered the few things we needed. Another contraction tightened around my body. Kael ended the call, came to the bed and lifted me into his arms. He carried me downstairs and hurried towards the car.
Darius, Nolan, Maya and Elena followed us. Nolan offered to drive our car so Kael could remain with me in the back. Elena sat beside Nolan in the passenger seat.
“Once Serena arrives, Darius and I will meet you at the hospital,”
