"Oh my God!"
Someone screams from their audience and the piercing sound wakes Natalie to her present reality that still seems like a dream.
Brendan is still in front of her, still on bended knee and…
"Oh God!" The words leave her mouth before she can stop them after Brendan reaches into his pocket and brings out a little tiny box.
She swallows hard as a thousand goosebumps spring up on her entire body. Everything is still so surreal and she just stares.
"It could be anything inside that box, right?" She bites her lips nervously as she tries to convince herself that what is staring her in the face is not what it is.
"Let's start over."
"What?" Her eyes dart between the tiny box and the boy holding it, while her insides descend into chaos.
