My mom and I stopped by the bank so that I could run in and get the deposit done first. When I stepped inside, I saw that Miss Rosey was working, so I headed right for her. When she looked up and saw me, she gave me a big smile.
"Well, if it isn't one of my favorite men. How are you doing today, Shadow?" she asked me. "I'm doing better now that I've seen your beautiful face, Miss Rosey. How are you doing?" I asked her. "I'm doing really well. Now that I've talked to Ox, Panther, and Ink, and know that you all will be over Saturday to help with the roof i'm really good. I was so worried that my old fool of a husband would get up there to fix it and break something. And with the luck that he has, it would be some part of him. Damned old fool still thinks that he's a spring chicken
