When Ink was finally moved into a room, we were allowed to go back two at a time to see him. Since I was in the bathroom at the time, Meadow and Ox went back first, and then Ox switched places with Panther. By the time that they came out, I was back from the bathroom, so I went in with Rex, and then Shadow switched with him.
Walking into that room and seeing Ink hooked up to all of those machines was so damn hard. It's also where I really lost it. I broke down crying, and Rex had to grab ahold of me to keep me from hitting the floor. To see my big tough man lying there with his head wrapped up, his arms wrapped up, and a brace on his back was so damn hard.
Rex helped me into a chair by Ink's bed, and I grabbed the tips of his fingers. It was the only thing that wasn't wrapped up
