There is an emergency exit, but it is secure so that the patients can't get out. And then they have an outdoor area for the patients who are doing better. It is fenced in so that no one can get in or out. It's to protect the patients who are allowed to spend time outside.
We made sure that everything was left in the truck except my phone and keys, and then we headed inside. Once we went through all of the crap that we had to go through, we headed back to the visitation room to wait for Pearl. When the nurse showed us to the waiting room, she said, "She should be here soon. Group therapy ran over some today. But it shouldn't be much longer. I'll let her know that you are here when she comes out."
