I have a show tonight, and I was getting ready, going through my usual routine: shower, shave, and apply a ton of makeup.
When you’re on the stage, you actually have to apply a little more makeup than normal because you want to ensure every last person in the back of the room can see your beautiful face.
At least that’s what I always advise the young princesses, or drag daughters as they are more commonly known, whom I’ve taken under my wing throughout the years. I prefer the term "princesses"; they haven’t graduated to "queen" just yet.
As I was putting on my foundation—Lord, I hate foundations—I can never find one that’s my shade. So, I need to mix a few to get my perfect match. Trust me, that has involved a lot of experimentation to find the correct combo I need.
