He looked at me with big eyes and whispered, "But they can hear us. They see and hear everything. They know that you're here now because they can hear you." I just shook my head before he was even done talking and said, "No, they can't. I fixed that when we got here. They can't hear what is actually being said. All that they hear is what they want to hear, and that is nothing. No plotting or planning. Just boring, mundane life."
The other guard came back out then and said, "His majesty will see you now, your highnesses." They both bowed as we walked past them and headed inside. Once we got inside, there was another guard who took us further into the castle. I figured that he was taking us to the throne room. But he led us towards an office and knocked on the door.
