EXTRA –Alternate Ending

"Yawn…" I stretch in bed and let out a long yawn as I open my eyes. It's still dark outside, I notice as I look toward the window, but my phone alarm insists it's time to get up.
I smile with some excitement and jumped out of bed. I run to the bathroom, use the bathroom, brush my teeth, and stop for a moment in front of the mirror. I look at myself. I can't believe I'm already seventeen, and in two months, I'll be eighteen.
In a few months, I'll be in college. Everything should be exciting.
And yet, there's something strange about me this morning. I feel tired, as if I've already lived a whole life. A fatigue that isn't physical, but something deeper, like an echo of something I don't understand.
I shake my head, try to clear it, and go to the closet.
