It almost killed me. “Yes.” Her eyes narrowed. “How long?” “Most of the drive.” She groaned and pressed a hand to her face. “Fantastic. Very elegant. Very mysterious. Exactly the impression I wanted to make entering werewolf territory.” “No one saw.” Her hand lowered slowly. I reconsidered my statement. “No one important saw.” Her eyes narrowed further. “Caelin.” “The patrols saw.” “The patrols.” “They were discreet.” “You threatened them, didn’t you?” I paused.
