I let Kara take over my body completely. It wasn’t a struggle, wasn’t a loss of control—it was alignment, it was stepping back and letting the part of me that knew how to survive, how to fight, how to kill without second-guessing take the lead while I stayed right there with her, seeing everything, feeling everything, but sharper, faster, stronger.
The shift in my body was immediate. Cleaner than before. My muscles tightened, my senses snapped into focus, the world breaking down into movement and threat and space, into angles and openings and impact points, everything slowing just enough for me to react before anything could touch me.
