"I can't believe you've talked me into doing this Lacey"
"It's the right thing to do, Logan and you know it"
"Do I?"
"Yes, look the kids are innocent in all of this mess and they don't deserve to miss out just because Luca and I are at odds"
"I know, babe"
Logan says as he gently grips my hand.
"But couldn't you have done what your parents did and sent one of our workers to do this instead"
He says and I snap my head to him in disbelief.
"Hell no, Logan, gift-giving is a personal thing and I don't want my niece's first memory of receiving a gift from us to be from a stranger"
"Well, technically babe you are a stranger to her, I don't mean to be an asshole but you are, not to mention she's only three and she probably won't remember this anyway"
